FRANKIE THORP

Frankie Thorp is an east London based artist whose paintings explore themes of memory and nostalgia.

Having studied illustration at London College of Communication her work has since evolved into a whimsical exploration of the sanctuary of being at home, entwining the familiarity found in everyday objects with idiosyncratic emblems. 

Frankie’s works are made up of playful compositions with references to both past and present, occasionally tapping into conversations around ‘Britishness’. Her larger works are focused around messy tablescapes dotted with food and drink and often accompanied by pensive looking figures and sleeping dogs.
