CHIARA PERANO
Chiara Perano (b. 1985) is an English–Italian artist based in East Sussex. Her practice explores our emotional and symbolic connection with the natural world, where plants and celestial movements offer protection, guidance, and quiet healing. Growing up between the coastlines of England and southern Italy shaped her intuitive, atmospheric sensibility and her fascination with seasons, landscapes, and the night sky.
Her work centres on dreamlike compositions where feminine silhouettes, botanical forms, and cosmic symbols meet a refined, minimal visual language. Using gestural mark-making and luminous, layered colourfields, she invites viewers to slow down, listen to nature’s messages, and sense a deeper connection to the cosmos.
