The imagery in this waistcoat explores women’s creativity in the 1900s through the tools they used. The fabric for the pockets and back panel of the garment is a vintage cotton hand embroidered table cloth from the 1940s which has been repaired and dyed.
The embroidered text on the back of the garment reads “I would venture to guess that anon...was often a woman” - A Room of One’s Own

Lining: Vintage cotton
Buttons: Curzo, made entirely from recycled materials
