These tea cups were commissioned by the gallery to work in collaboration with Eleanor, on creating a set of contemporary ceramic tea cups for my husbands appearance on BBC’s Great British Menu. This years theme for the banquet was celebrating 100 years of British Film. The cups created a playful nuance to the tradition of blue and white ceramics and its conjunction with tea, and the British love of afternoon tea. They were the perfect vessel for Jeff to create his final Banquet dessert course, which was inspired by the film adaptation of Sense and Sensibility which was filmed in the South West.
The Cups are beautiful as stand alone objects or perfect as a set for a playful display. Each is entirely unique.
Food safe ceramic glazing. Not suitable for the dishwasher.
